Grace's Halloween Party at School

Ok, Ok...so I'm a little late in posting some things about our Halloween celebrations...so just bare with me! :o) This is strictly for memory purpose and of course family! ;o)

G had a cute little Halloween party at school. The room mom (which I'm sad to say I am not because I missed that opportunity because we started in October...big sigh and a sad face) did such a FANTASTIC job! They had cute Halloween table cloths on the tables with fun little center pieces that had pumpkin cake pops in them, a pumpkin cake, "mummy" dogs (thanks to the ideas on Pinterest), string cheese "fingers" (another Pinterest idea), cheetos, juice, fruit, adorable treat bags for the kids (and they even made one for E because they knew I was bringing her up for the party), and a neat little foam pumpkin craft activity.

The party was so well thought out and the kids had such a GREAT time! :o)

Our tradition of pumpkin carving...

Allow me to introduce my medium and small helpers. We decided to carve our pumpkins outside on our back patio. It was such a gorgeous day! :o)

(By the way, G named them all by herself. Don't ask me how she came up with these names. LOL

She has quite the imagination these days!) :0)

My Mom sent these cute DIY pumpkin face kits for the girls. G's is the one with glasses and E's is the cat. They were suppose to be like stickers and G was going to do them all by herself, but I ended up having to use the glue gun to make everything stick, but she was sure able to dictate where she wanted everything to go. She always has a vision! ;o)

We've Been "Booed"

Soon after we moved in, we were "Booed!"

We received this cute little pumpkin with a sparkly cat mask and yummy treats inside delivered by a secret neighbor. :o) Then it was our job to fill it back up with fun yummy treats that we like and deliver it to another neighbor. I let G help me decide what to put inside. We made brownies and chocolate chip cookies. We, also, put pumpkin pretzels, Halloween pencils, glow sticks and some candy in the "Boo" bucket. Then G decided to take it to the across the street neighbors who have 3 kids. They moved in the same week as us. :o) So we snuck over and dropped it off on their porch.

I just loved this fun little festive activity! :o) It really got me in the mood for the holidays!

A REAL Pumpkin Patch!

We live a few minutes away from a place called Carrigan Farms. In the fall, they have an apple orchard that you can pick apples from (which we missed peak season by about a week) and, also, a pumpkin patch. They have a small petting zoo and hay rides.

We decided while my parents were here helping us get settled in, that we would take the girls to their VERY FIRST real pumpkin patch! It was so neat and the girls had so much fun walking through the pasture and looking/picking all the pumpkins. My parents bought the girls each their own pumpkin, 1 large pumpkin to carve and several little bitty pumpkins.

This was a great way to start our fall festivities! :o)

Home Sweet Home

Well, I'm officially back!

For those of you who didn't know, we moved all the way to the east coast to Mooresville, North Carolina which is just a little north of Charlotte. We LOVE it here, but just wish our family was out here too. It's a small town with the big city within a short drive. Life here seems to be very laid back and just not as fast pace which is a GREAT thing. :o)

We love our new neighborhood and have met a lot of great families! :o)

We have pretty much unpacked everything and are slowly getting organized. We've had a few issues with things being broken or damaged from the move. The biggest thing is J and my bedroom furniture. The top of the armoire is cracked and the doors don't latch shut and just the other day our bed completely broke. The movers didn't put it together right, but we're working on getting that all fixed. Hopefully, sooner than later.

The girls rooms are done, except for curtains (a post on that to come a little later) and I'm in the process of picking out a paint color for their bathroom and all the fun accessories to make it cute and oh so girly. ;o)

Grace is attending a new preschool (First Baptist Church Preschool of Mooresville) 5 days a week and is LOVING it! She has made some new friends, goes to chapel and is learning Spanish.

Emersyn is keeping me super busy with her love of our new stairs and opening all the cabinets in the kitchen and trying to emtpy all the stuff out of them. :o)

So far, this move has been the BEST decision J and I could have ever made for our family. Although it is extremely hard to be away from family, it has given us J home every night and has also given the girls stability and a set routine with both Mommy and Daddy. :o)

News

We have some exciting yet scary and somewhat sad news...Jeff got a new job back with Hertz and we are moving to Charlotte, North Carolina. It was a job we could not pass up! One, it was a GREAT career move for Jeff and a step up the corporate ladder... and... Two, he won't be traveling which is WONDERFUL for our family (I told him I would move anywhere as long as he didn't have to travel anymore!). :o) It's just a bummer it's not here in Texas. :o( But, we will be coming back to visit a lot!!! :o)

Our house just went up on the market April 2nd and we hope to sell it as soon as possible. If you know of anyone who is needing a house in the Round Rock area, please tell them to check out our house here.
