President's Day AKA Snow Day

Please excuse the lapse in my timeline on our blog...I got so "blogged" down with soooo many different events going on and just everyday life that I didn't even know where to begin. Not to mention the time that it takes to post all of them.

So, I decided to start with the present and go forward. :o)

***************************************

We finally got some snow here in North Carolina. It started falling around dinner time on Sunday and continued through the night. When we woke up this morning, almost everything was covered in white. BUT ---if you blinked you might have missed it because it melted almost as fast as it came. :o)

The girls sure did have fun playing in it, well...at least G did! E did a face plant right off the bat (you know the kind where the snow gets stuck in the eyelashes, brows and everywhere else...lol). That was the end for her. All she wanted was for me to hold her the rest of the time. Although, I did manage to get her to go sledding with G and I down the hill in our backyard one time. After some fun playing outside, we went in for a quick little breakfast/snack and then it was off to our neighbors house for some hot chocolate and to make homemade chocolate chip cookies. :o) Boy, was it YUMMY!!!

Here's some pictures (sorry for the quality...they were taken with my iphone):

G forcing herself to smile so Mommy could take a picture.

E checking the snow out before the face plant.

Inside with a sippy cup of milk makes for one happy girl.

Watching G and Daddy play in the snow.
She was perfectly content.

Eating chocolate bunny grahams.
Check those looks out. LOL

G and Allie (our sweet neighbor/friend)
Eating cookies and sipping hot chocolate.

All tuckered out!
Such a sweet sleeping beauty.

Below is a video of Daddy and G sledding down our hill.
