G's Easter Party at School

Today G had an Easter party at school with all her friends. The room mom just does a WONDERFUL job every single time with these parties! They had a bunny shaped cake, dipped strawberries, this yummy popcorn with pretzels and M&Ms covered with melted white chocolate, little carrot bags filled with cheetohs, bunny shaped jelly sandwiches (which I brought), little birds nests with peeps on top and cute little lunchboxes filled with goodies! :o) The kids were all great and they ate so well! :o)

E even got to participate with the party festivities and she LOVED it! She thought she was so BIG!

These are the cute peep bird nests that the room mom made.
(I borrowed this picture from Tracy's FB page.)
Because I didn't take one picture of all the cute and delicious food.  :o(

Adorable little lunchbox goodies!  :o)

The children waiting to be called to go wash their hands before the party.

Getting their plates full of the yummy food.

Eating.

E was just delighted that she got to sit at the table with all the big kids.
And, boy, did she eat!  LOL

The rest of the class.

Social time!

One Mom was reading books to the kids to keep them calm while everything was being cleaned up.

G has a really well behaved class.

Stayed tuned for more Easter Festivities!  :o)

Haircuts aka E's First Haircut

Yesterday, a neighbor friendcut the girls hair.
It was E's FIRST haircut! :o)
AND I had a BIG Mommy fail...I forgot to keep some of E's hair for her baby book!

I wasn't sure how she would do because she doesn't sit very still for me to fix her hair in the morning and the whole time I brush her hair she say "ou!" really loud and pulls away. LOL! I don't think it really hurts her...its more of her not wanting to sit still for that long, which really is only about 2 minutes, enough to get a rubber band and a bow in! LOL. BUT---I was pleasantly surprised. She sat sooooo still with a little bribe of M&Ms and snacks that she ate the whole time! :o) I decided that E would look cute with a little "bob" and G got about 6 inches cut off which made her hair so much healthier! The girls look so adorable if I might say so myself! :o)

Thank you so much Tamara! :o)
I LOVE it!

First attempt at a before picture.

Second attempt was much better.

Actually getting her haircut.

This was taken the day after her haircut.
She was eating a snack and saying "Mmmmm!"

Saying "Cheese!"
I know these pictures of E are hard to tell what her hair really looks like
BUT it's really hard to take pictures of a moving toddler. ;o)

The day after her haircut.
I know it's a little hard to tell because it's in a braid.

G's Easter Egg Hunt at School

This past Wednesday, G had a Easter egg hunt at her school.
It was held at the softball field adjacent to her school.
The kids were all so cute running around trying to find all the eggs.
And I held E while taking pictures of G and all the kids. She never made a peep, but let me tell you...she was taking notes the entire time! :o)

Coming down the stairs to the field.
G is holding Ms. Wanda's (her teacher) hand.

My child is super sensitive to sunlight.
She wanted me to walk to the car to get her sunglasses.

Finding her first egg.

Running all around.

Still looking.

"I think they're all picked up!"

Looking for more eggs on the inn field.

Lining up to go back inside to her classroom.

Neighborhood Fire Station Field Trip

Today we went on a little field trip to the local fire station with some of our neighbors. This was a first for G and E. The girls were attentive the whole time. I think G was a little nervous the whole time we were there. She was unsure of what to expect. And E was looking and asking for a snack the whole time. The firemen were great with the kids and explained all kinds of things to them from their job description, to what they wear (which G was totally afraid of), what kind of tools are on their trucks, to smoke alarms, etc.
The kids were so well behaved and had a great time! :o)

Addie, G, Grant & Nicholas.
Dylan was on the far right, but I accidently cut him off.
I was taking pictures one handed and trying not to drop the camera all while holding E.

Checking out "the jaws of life"

More equipment on the truck.

Inside the truck.

The only picture I got of E.
I was afraid to let her down.
Too much stuff to get into.

St. Patrick's Day Party

I threw a little St. Patrick's Day party at G's school last Friday. We of course wore GREEN, had GREEN chocolate chip muffins, pigs-n-a-blanket, GREEN grapes, GREEN juice and made GREEN shamrock necklaces out of GREEN yarn, GREEN pasta, and GREEN paper shamrocks! E came with me and she thought she was big stuff! :o)

G posing with green nail polish and all!

Checking out her newest accessory. :o)

I think the kids had fun. I know G did! :o)

E

E has really come out of her shell in the last month or so. She use to be so shy and passive...now she says hi to everyone and is getting a little bit of a "tude." If she doesn't like something she lets out this high pitch scream that is about to drive me crazy. And these days she is all about accessorizing! She wakes up every morning and most of the time the first word out of her mouth is "bow' which means she wants one in her hair. She LOVES wearing jackets, hats, jewelry, gloves, glasses, etc. She definitely has her own sense of style. She has even thrown a few fits about what she wants to wear for the day. She might be my little fashion diva! LOL

E is mad in this picture because G and I were laughing at her outfit.
I know I shouldn't have done this, but it was too funny and she was so serious about making her choices as what to wear. :o)

After nap outfit.

Playing dress-up with G.

Snack and water in hand for a jog with Mommy.

Saying cheese.
