After one of my many sessions on Pinterest, I decided I would make the girls and my niece a turkey shirt for Thanksgiving. I'm not a seamstress by any means, but I think they turned out pretty cute! ;o) I, also, had bows made to match.

Thanksgiving Feast

G's school did a school wide Thanksgiving Feast. It was in their "Fellowship Hall" and every child was assigned to bring something to share. G's class was to bring a veggie or casserole to share. So, thanks to my Mom's suggestions...I made broccoli and rice casserole. And it was super yummy, if I might say so myself!

They had tons of food and some very delicious desserts! :o)

One of G's teachers made Pilgrim and Indian costumes for them to wear during their feast. They were all sooooo cute!

I didn't get to take hardly any pictures because my camera battery was dead and I didn't know it. I have had that camera for a least 3 or 4 years and that has NEVER happened! :o( BUT ---I did take a couple with my iphone.

Patterson Farm Field Trip

G had her first field trip with her school, the first week in November, to Patterson Farm.

For those of you back home, its a smaller version of Crowe's Nest Farm or Pioneer Farm.

It was a Daddy and G day. They took a hayride, stuffed a scarecrow, fed some farm animals, and picked out a pumpkin.

She had a blast! :o)

Trick or Treat, Smell My Feet...

GIVE ME SOMETHING GOOD TO EAT!!! LOL...I just had to say that! :o)

We took the girls trick or treating in our neighborhood. They had soooo much fun! :o) It was a bit chilly that night though, but it didn't seem to bother them one bit. We walked pretty much the whole neighborhood...then towards the end of our route we ended up running into our soon - to - be new neighbors, which we just love. :o) So we finished the night with them. And boy did they get a ton of candy...they even got about 5-8 whole big candy bars. I was really impressed!

I couldn't believe how many kids we have in the neighborhood...I mean don't get me wrong I knew there were kids, but seeing them all out that night is when I really realized there are a

TON! And it was really neat because most of the adults that were handing out candy at their houses were sitting on their porches watching all the actions.

Neighborhood Halloween Party

Again, for memory sake and family...just bare with me! ;o)

Our neighborhood had a Fall/Halloween party up at our amenity center. They served pizza, snacks, soda, juice and some amazing cupcakes from a business that a new friend of ours owns. Some of the activities were face painting, which for some reason G didn't want to do, bobbing for donuts, a ring toss game, and the BIGGEST hit with G was the bounce house. She just L O V E S those things! There wasn't hardly anything for E to do, but she still had a fun time crawling around in the grass, watching G jump around in the bounce house and of course her favorite pass time eating. LOL

Grace's Halloween Party at School

Ok, Ok...so I'm a little late in posting some things about our Halloween celebrations...so just bare with me! :o) This is strictly for memory purpose and of course family! ;o)

G had a cute little Halloween party at school. The room mom (which I'm sad to say I am not because I missed that opportunity because we started in October...big sigh and a sad face) did such a FANTASTIC job! They had cute Halloween table cloths on the tables with fun little center pieces that had pumpkin cake pops in them, a pumpkin cake, "mummy" dogs (thanks to the ideas on Pinterest), string cheese "fingers" (another Pinterest idea), cheetos, juice, fruit, adorable treat bags for the kids (and they even made one for E because they knew I was bringing her up for the party), and a neat little foam pumpkin craft activity.

The party was so well thought out and the kids had such a GREAT time! :o)

Allow me to introduce my medium and small helpers. We decided to carve our pumpkins outside on our back patio. It was such a gorgeous day! :o)

She has quite the imagination these days!) :0)

My Mom sent these cute DIY pumpkin face kits for the girls. G's is the one with glasses and E's is the cat. They were suppose to be like stickers and G was going to do them all by herself, but I ended up having to use the glue gun to make everything stick, but she was sure able to dictate where she wanted everything to go. She always has a vision! ;o)

We've Been "Booed"

Soon after we moved in, we were "Booed!"

We received this cute little pumpkin with a sparkly cat mask and yummy treats inside delivered by a secret neighbor. :o) Then it was our job to fill it back up with fun yummy treats that we like and deliver it to another neighbor. I let G help me decide what to put inside. We made brownies and chocolate chip cookies. We, also, put pumpkin pretzels, Halloween pencils, glow sticks and some candy in the "Boo" bucket. Then G decided to take it to the across the street neighbors who have 3 kids. They moved in the same week as us. :o) So we snuck over and dropped it off on their porch.

I just loved this fun little festive activity! :o) It really got me in the mood for the holidays!

A REAL Pumpkin Patch!

We live a few minutes away from a place called Carrigan Farms. In the fall, they have an apple orchard that you can pick apples from (which we missed peak season by about a week) and, also, a pumpkin patch. They have a small petting zoo and hay rides.

We decided while my parents were here helping us get settled in, that we would take the girls to their VERY FIRST real pumpkin patch! It was so neat and the girls had so much fun walking through the pasture and looking/picking all the pumpkins. My parents bought the girls each their own pumpkin, 1 large pumpkin to carve and several little bitty pumpkins.

This was a great way to start our fall festivities! :o)
