Summer...

no wait it's still technically winter, but who would ever know since it's 90 degrees outside today. Grace has been wanting to go swimming in her little pool this past week, but I just have not had time to clean it. So this afternoon when I got home from work she was outside with my Aunt Carolyn and wanted in the pool which is sitting in our garage. So...I obliged and made a compromise to just play with the water from the hose. And can you believe we even made last year's swim suit work!

Girly Girl!

Since we didn't go to Little Gym this morning due to Grace being a little congested...we were lounging around and I decided I needed to paint my toes. Well as I was painting, I had a little observer. :) Grace, also, decided she wanted her toes painted. I was so excited because I use to paint Grace's toes when she was a baby while she was sleeping and tried to paint them last summer while she was sitting in her high chair, but it didn't work so well. So I just gave up for a little while hoping this day would come. :) I was a little reluctant at first because I didn't think she would sit still for me, but boy was I surprised. She sat soooo still! Now the trick was to get her to be still while they dried. Thank goodness I had some all natural fast drying oil to spray on them and it helped that it was lunch time too.

God sure knew what he was doing when he gave me a little girl. ;)

All - You - Can - Eat: Dog Bones

This morning after we got home from the grocery store, I went into the bathroom to put the toilet paper away and the bath soap and when I came back into the living room this is what I saw...

Grace was saying, "Here Syee!" and making a pile of dog bones for Syli.
It was too cute!


Grace normally gives Syli her treats every afternoon, but I guess today she decided to give it to her early. :)

It sure made Syli a happy camper!

Happy VALENTINE'S Day!

I was so excited for this Valentine's because this is the first time Jeff and I have spent the day as a married couple. I know this sounds weird since we been married for almost 5 years, but Jeff is usually out of town and since this year it fell on a Saturday we were lucky. :)

As a child my mom always made Valentine's a special day. In order to carry on the tradition that I loved so much...Jeff and I created a special Valentine table for Grace to see when she woke up. She was so surprised to see her table. She especially was excited to see the heart shaped balloons. After looking at all her cards, goodies and opening her presents...Jeff made us a special Valentine breakfast with heart shaped pancakes served up on special Valentine plates. We enjoyed some more family time after breakfast in Grace's play room. After a fun filled morning...it was time for a morning nap.

When Grace woke up from her nap she went with my parents out to lunch and to Jungle Java...so that Mommy and Daddy could spend Valentine's together.

We had such a fabulous VALENTINE'S day! We hope you did too! :)
